My Autumn Favorites

6 Fall Basics From My Wardrobe

    1.       You can never go wrong with a striped dress. This is not only subtle, but also looks great with a variety of different items. Style with burgundy tights and black booties for a pop of color or a denim jacket and sneakers for a more urban look. My dress has a zipper on the shoulder which adds a little detail & bling. Matinee necklaces with simple earrings look best with horizontal stripes.

    2.       Plaid heels are your must have statement piece! Perfect to wear during all four seasons, but especially during flannel weather. Style these shoes with a long sleeve black or white dress and scarf. If you want a more dressed down look, try a pair of cropped ankle jeans and a red button up with a silver bangle bracelet. The light grey base color is perfect for cloudy days. Find similar ones to mine here: Plaid Pointed Heels

    3.       I recently found this mustard color sweater at Goodwill and absolutely love it for chilly weather. Easily pair a yellow sweater with black jeans, boots, an army green jacket, and dangle earrings. The knit and style compliments any pants & shoes. Wearing a snug beanie or beret hat with an Opera style necklace are the perfect accessories.

    4.      As soon as the weather drops below 70 degrees, I break out all of my boots. Perfect with literally everything! Leggings, skinny jeans, dresses, skirts, etc. Plain brown boots or ones like mine with some added extras look great with medium washed pants, a white long sleeve blouse, a tan/brown belt, and a khaki jacket. Wear with your favorite flannel underneath an oversized sweater and some jeans! Simple footwear that makes every autumn outfit look amazing.

    5.       If you are like me, you take every opportunity to wear high waisted pants. A slightly cropped grey sweater is the best match with high waist dark wash jeans! For some color, add a thin red belt and a pair of bold earrings. The latest trend that is making a comeback has been ponytails tied up with ribbon and I think the material of them looks beautiful when against the back of a knitted sweater. 6.       Last but not least: Polka dot tights. Seriously so gorgeous underneath body con skirts and dresses. Basic yet still a statement and suggested with heels and boots. Super cute with cardigans and scarves as well! In the 1920's, polkadots became extremely popular & they're definitely on the come up in modern fashion. Surprisingly, there is many different colors of these polka dot tights! I have seen navy, white, translucent, and black of course.

Now just patiently waiting for spooky season weather so you & I both can start wearing adorable outfits again.🍂👻🎃 xo
